Transportation

Twin Cities Metro Area

MAP’s metro transportation program provides door-to-door rides to medical, mental health and social service appointments, support groups, grocery stores, food shelves and pharmacy pick-ups. Request rides two working days in advance. Service is provided Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (holidays excluded). HIV+ persons who cannot obtain a bus pass from other programs may be eligible for one through MAP's transportation program.

Greater Minnesota

In Greater Minnesota, the transportation program provides mileage or bus travel reimbursement for medical, mental health and case management appointments and also for support group visits. Eligible residents of Aitkin, Benton, Carlton, Chisago, Cook, Isanti, Kanabec, Kandiyohi, Lake, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, Sherburne, Stearns, St. Louis, Todd and Wright counties (all counties around Duluth or St. Cloud) can receive assistance from MAP. Other agencies provide transportation reimbursement in other Greater Minnesota counties. Contact the MAP AIDSLine for information on the agency providing this service in your county.
