The Disclosure Dialogues

June 14, 2011

The Disclosure Dialogues is a workshop series for gay and bisexual HIV-positive men aimed at reducing the stress and anxiety experienced when considering disclosing one’s HIV status to friends, family members, and sexual partners. Participants learn how to identify and evaluate the benefits and risks of disclosing and then practice using a number of film-quality movie clips that explore a variety of disclosure scenarios. By the final workshop, participants will have learned stress-reduction tips regarding HIV disclosure, positive coping skills, and safer sex-negotiation strategies.

The first Disclosure Dialogues series will take place at the Minnesota AIDS Project from 6 to 9 p.m. on four consecutive Thursday evenings beginning July 14th and ending August 4th. Those interested in attending must be able to commit to all four evenings and need to pre-register.

For further information or to register, please contact Steve or Nick in Positive Link no later than July 8 by email or by calling 612-373-2463 or 612-373-2464.
