Walk Your Talk: Keep Candidates Accountable by Asking Questions

It’s that time of year. Candidates are scouring the neighborhoods, the airways and TV trying to get your support. Make sure that they support HIV prevention and services by asking a few simple questions when they call or visit you at home.

Take Action: Take a moment to review the questions below and keep candidates accountable to HIV.

1. What is your position on publicly funded, science-based HIV prevention programs as a strategy for stopping HIV?

2. Do you support government funding for HIV-related health care and services for low-income or uninsured people living with HIV?

3. What is your position on comprehensive sexuality education?

4. What ideas do you have for reducing the stigma that is still associated with HIV?
