Announcement: Rochester AIDS Walk on September 23
This annual event benefits those living with HIV in Rochester and its surrounding communities in Southeastern Minnesota when they are in times of crisis. The walk starts at 10:00 a.m. with pre-registration at 9:30 at Silver Lake Park West Pavilion. Many walkers are people whose lives have been touched in some way by HIV.
For registration information, or if you'd like to help with the Rochester AIDS Walk, please call Jill at (507) 287-2200.
What Do You Know?!?
We know that stopping HIV means addressing the stigma still associated with HIV. The Kaiser Family Foundation has issued a recent report on stigma associated with HIV. One interesting and unfortunate finding, 37% of people interviewed still think you can get HIV from kissing. Check it out.
