Announcement: Allan Spear Forum Featuring Regan Hoffman on September 16

The Minnesota AIDS Project has assembled a diverse, all-star lineup for the 2008 Allan Spear Forums. The next Forum will take place on Tuesday, September 16, featuring POZ Magazine Editor-in-chief Regan Hofmann.

ReganRegan Hofmann
Editor-in-Chief, POZ

Tuesday, September 16 • 7 p.m.
Westminster Presbyterian Church
1200 Marquette Avenue, Minneapolis

The series is free and open to the public.

In her current position as editor-in-chief of POZ magazine, Regan Hofmann is responsible for the editorial direction of this award-winning, monthly publication. Her vision includes raising awareness of HIV, highlighting how the profile of the epidemic has changed dramatically to include women and people of color, and fighting the stigma that has barely lessened in a quarter of a century since the disease was first identified. Hofmann believes that combating stigma is key because fear of stigma prevents people from talking about HIV, which, in turn, hampers education and prevention efforts and compromises the level of care people receive.
