Vote!: Presidential Debate on Friday & Other Candidate Information Watch the first presidential debate on Friday, September 26, 2008, at 8 p.m. The debate is being held at University of Mississippis in Oxford, and will be moderated by Jim Lehrer, of The NewsHour on PBS. This debate will focus on foreign policy and national security. The debate can be viewed on PBS, CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, and several cable network channels. Vote!: Register to Vote before October 14, 2008 The last day to pre-register for the general election is Tuesday, October 14. Register before this day if you haven’t registered yet or if you have recently moved, changed your name, or simply can’t remember if you have. Pre-registering to vote will cut down on time spent waiting in line on election day. Click here to print a voter registration card. Voters can register the day of the election using several options.
