2008 State Legislative Agenda

The Minnesota AIDS Project's mission is to lead Minnesota's fight to stop HIV through advocacy, education, and service.

Our Public Policy program strives to meet this mission by advancing HIV prevention policy, increasing access to HIV services, and protecting existing resources for people living with HIV.

First Tier Legislative Initiatives

Introduce legislation to establish a broad-based, basic HIV education initiative in Minnesota

Introduce legislation, in coalition, to establish sexuality education standards

Second Tier Legislative Initiatives

Introduce legislation to improve HIV prevention programs in Minnesota’s corrections systems

Introduce legislation to strengthen HIV prevention programs serving injection drug users
