As of October 1, 2013, Minnesotans will be able to access health care coverage through Minnesota’s new state health insurance marketplace, MNsure.org. Financial help may be available to make MNsure plans more affordable, so people can find a plan that fits their budget.
Under the new law, health insurance plans will no longer be able to deny you coverage based on a pre-existing condition like HIV, diabetes or cancer.
Plans available on MNsure.org will cover things like doctor visits, hospitalizations, maternity care, emergency room visits, and prescriptions.
Working together for our community!
Rainbow Health Initiative, Minnesota Transgender Health Coalition, OutFront, Rural AIDS Action Network and Minnesota AIDS Project have joined forces to provide our community with culturally competent and understandable information about MNsure, Minnesota’s new health insurance marketplace. MAP and RAAN will have MNsure navigators on staff to provide health insurance enrollment assistance to consumers through MNsure.
Contact us after October 1, 2013 to learn more, or to schedule an appointment with a MNsure navigator for help enrolling in Medical Assistance, MinnesotaCare, or private insurance through MNsure!
